The machine is intended for rounding the spine of one-piece and split book covers with a soft gap before the block insertion operation.
It is used in small-run production of bound editions with a round or round and lined spine of a block, sewn with threads, or glued with an edging. The machine provides high-quality, required radius rounding of the cover spine with various coating materials, including paper with a pressed film.
Rounding by tightening the spine along the radius surface of the block under the influence of two pressure plates. The machine contains four blocks of various configurations, located on the rotary drum. The pads are heated with an automatic temperature controller. The pressure plates are located on a vertically moving slider, are spring-loaded relative to each other and are adjusted to the width of the cover gap. The slider is driven by a foot pedal through a lever mechanism, and its extreme lower position is adjusted depending on the required lid processing mode.
The machine meets the ergonomic requirements for standing work.
